Douglas lead the Global Supply Chain & Strategy Transformation within Well Pharmacy, with accountabilities focusing on enhancing the customer shopping experience through delivering efficiencies in our supply chain, simplifying processes for customers, driving productivity, and working in partnership with suppliers. Key deliverables are to embed an international sourcing model, redesign a major logistics centre, optimise our transport fleet and create a step change savings plan. Previous to Well Pharmacies Douglas spent 7 years at Whitbread, based in Shanghai, leading the Global Supply Chain, International Sourcing and Group GNFR procurement teams, prior to that he spent 27 years working for Tesco in the UK, Central Europe, and Asia, where he led various Supply Chain teams.
