Carl Polak

Carl began his career in the Civil Engineering industry after graduating from Southampton University. After 8 years and an MBA from Warwick Business School, Carl joined Ford Motor Company in a Manufacturing role. He completed several challenging assignments across many vehicle production and powertrain manufacturing facilities before joining the logistics team in 2004. He managed the maintenance operation for Ford’s commercial vehicle fleet in conjunction with the in-house vehicle fleet PDI centre before moving into a logistics program role. Carl led material planning and logistics strategy and implementation for Ford’s new Transit vehicle range with production sites in Spain, Turkey, North America and Russia. Carl is now leading material planning and logistics strategy for Ford in the Middle East and Africa Region. This includes Ranger production in South Africa, working with teams in Australia, Thailand, China and South America. He is also developing strategies for KD operations within Africa.
